Dhaval Vasani – President

Dhaval has held a number of prior senior management level positions in a wide variety of industries. In addition, he has established an excellent record of performance in business management, marketing, and public relations. his educational background includes a Master of Business Administration from University of Aberdeen Business School, United Kingdom

Joe Balcer – VP Product Development

Accomplished product development executive with a broad functional and multi-industry background. Passionate about leading individuals to deliver products that meet business objectives. Proven success in delivering results across a broad range of design, engineering and manufacturing disciplines. Able to create strategic vision and apply operational expertise to accelerate improvements in cost, cycle time, quality and on-time delivery. Creative leader who drives innovation, brings unique perspective, exceptional motivator and delivers operational excellence to an organization

Josh Kugler – Director of Software Engineering

Josh has been a pinball enthusiast since he was 9 years old when he built his first pinball machine out of nails and rubber bands.  He is known to many in the pinball community as a leader in the custom pinball machine arena and as had multiple machines exhibited at Expo the last few years.  Before deciding to jump into pinball full time, Josh spent the last 15 years with highly successful start-up companies and brings that expertise to American Pinball as well as his love of pinball.

James Thornton – Director of Product Development

Industry Vet Jim Thornton has joined the American Pinball Team as Director of Product Development, and is hard at work on the bill of material, procurement of parts, and overall production of the final product. Jim has spent many years working behind the scenes in the pinball industry to bring the imagination of the designs to life. Jim comes to American Pinball with over 20 years of experience in the Arcade Amusement Business, working with such notable companies as Stern Pinball and Jersey Jack Pinball. Join us in welcoming Jim to the American Pinball family, we are excited to add his passion for pinball with the amazing work ethic he brings to the team.

Scott Goldberg - Chief Marketing Officer

Scott Goldberg is the Chief Marketing Officer of American-Pinball.  With over a decade of experience in successfully launching start-ups and entrepreneurial companies, AdAge Magazine recently named Scott Goldberg as a “CMO for Hire”.   In other words, he’s not your typical marketing guy limited to one specialty or area of focus. Rather his abilities range from strategy and partnerships to social media, experiential marketing, and media relations.  With a broad network of relationships across a diverse range of industries including gaming, technology, toys, juvenile products, food and beverage and more.  

Mr. Goldberg brings a deep knowledge of strategy, an innovative and aggressive style and a tireless drive to deliver meaningful sales driven results –whether it’s a top tier outlet placement, a groundbreaking consumer event or an innovative promotional partnership.


Jeff Busch – Art Director

Jeff Busch has 35 years of experience working as an illustrator, designer and author. 

His first venture into the pinball industry was back in 1987 when he created the painted portion of the backglass for Gottlieb’s “Arena”. In 1993 he joined the fledgling Capcom coin-op company and created the art package for their very first pinball game “Pinball Magic”. Shortly after that he moved to Sega Pinball, where, as Art Director, he created the art packages for games such as “Independence Day”, “Apollo 13” and oversaw the art production for “The X-Files”, “Space Jam”, “GoldenEye”, “Batman Forever”. “Twister”, “Baywatch” and others.


Matt Kern – Sound – Music Director

Matt Kern is an Illinois-based composer and sound designer focusing primarily on video games and interactive media. Over his two-plus decades as a professional, he has provided music, sound design and audio direction in a variety of mediums including mobile, console, pinball, slots, arcade, redemption, toys, streaming media players, and has music placement in a Paramount Pictures production. Ish Raneses – Graphics Animator

Ish Raneses is an illustrator and animator with many years of experience creating artwork in 2d as well as 3d.  After college, he landed his first job at Data East Pinball, which later became Sega Pinball. His role here was as a dot matrix artist creating art animation for games such as "Batman Forever", "Apollo 13", and "Baywatch". Eventually, Ish moved on to doing video slot artwork at WMS Gaming.  He stayed there for 11 years working on hit games such as "Reel Em In", "Monopoly", and "Star Trek".  After WMS, he freelanced for various video slot developers.  Currently, his art career has brought him full circle back to his roots of creating artwork and animation for pinball games at American Pinball.

  Matt Riesterer – Game Toy Sculpture-Back Alley Creation

Hi name is Matt Riesterer and I own Back Alley Creations.  We make Pinball Toys and 3 Dimensional parts for pinball machines. I started making Pinball Mods part time in 2007. My first was Black Pearl Pinballs for "the Pirates of the Caribbean". In 2011 we began making pinball parts full time for "the Wizard of oz" game. We are also part of the Spooky Pinball crew and have had the awesome opportunity to make the toys for their "Rob Zombie" pinball, "Domino's" pinball and "Jetsons" Pinball. We are also a part of the Heighway Pinball Team and have made the Alien eggs and Queen for their "Alien" Pinball machine. in October of 2016 we signed a deal with Planetary Pinball to make licensed Williams mods and remake old stock parts for them. The team that Joe BALCER has put together here at American Pinball is a great crew and very passionate about there work. I feel blessed once again to be part of it!
